Ryan Brathwaite 2009 100m Hurdle World ChampionActive Care Therapy is extremely proud of Ryan and we are happy to have been there with Ryan - to assist him in making his dream come true in Berlin on Thursday, August 20th 2009.

Ryan has not only made history but he has accomplished it through running two Personal bests in one evening. The first in his semi-final and then in that same evening returned to win the Gold in the 110m Hurdles final - the first ever Barbadian to become a World Champion in the Senior Track & Field Championships.

Active Care was pleased to assist Barbadian team members: Ryan Brathwaite (110m Hurdles) and Ramon Gittens (100m, 200m) both Active Care Clients and Barbadian team members – Andrew Hinds (100m, 200m) & Jade Bailey (200m) as they competed at World's.

It was certainly a pleasure to work with some of our Island best track athletes as well as Coach Alwyn Babb.

Active Care would like to thank and Dr. Llewelyn Harper (Sports Medicine Physician) & Dr. Adrian Lorde (World Anti Doping Association - WADA), Christina Williams (Podiatrist) whose accessibility and medical advice were invaluable.

Active Care and I are thankful to God for the opportunity to work with athletes in helping them heal and recover to realise their athletic dreams.

RYAN BRATHWAITE WINS GOLD IN THE WORLD ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BERLIN! ON THURSDAY AUGUST 20TH 2009 IN A TIME OF 13:14s! – RYAN BRATHWAITE became the 2009 12th IAAF World Champion in the Men's 110m Hurdles Event.

Olympics 2008ACTIVE CARE THERAPY has had the privilege of working with these two athletes: MR. RYAN BRWATHWAITE (110M HURDLES) & MR. GREGORY DOUGLAS (SAILING). Active Care is very happy for both of them to have reached the pinnacle of an athlete's journey - the OLYMPIC GAMES.

ACTIVE CARE bodes them both well in their Olympic debut and May God bless both of them in their pursuit of excellence at the 2008 OLYMPIC GAMES.

Nicola Benedetti Active Care Therapy recently had the privilege of working with two musicians, during their stay here in Barbados. Ms. Nicola Benedetti – 2007 BBC Young Musician of the World and Mr. David Greilsammer who both performed at the 10Th Annual Classical Concert, hosted by the Tabor Foundation.

Sizzlin' Sand - Sun Splash Beach volleyball tournament Active Care therapy teamed up and toured with the Sizzlin' Sand – Sun Splash Beach Volleyball Tournament in Jolly Harbour, Antigua this past October for some hot hot sun and sizzling Beach Volleyball. ACT enjoyed working with the tour once again and congratulates both Men’s and Women’s teams from Jamaica and Barbados respectively.

Tanglewoods Family Fun Day Active Care Therapy was happy to once again be part of the 2007 Tanglewoods Family Fun Day - held annually at the Garrison Savannah, it's a Charity dedicated to assisting with the Barbados Children’s Trust. We are always ecstatic and look forward to the children every year. 2007 proved to be much bigger than ever before and the children had lots of fun!. A huge thank you to ACT'S volunteers who really ensured the children had fun and that we were able to raise some donations from our booth. Many Thanks to Mum, Nadia & Russel, Jo-Anne & Kirsten and of course the organizers - the Tanglewoods Family.
